Bad PageSpeed Insights Results on Mobile and Desktop

Posted on 2025-04-22 Updated on 2025-07-09

If you found that PageSpeed Insights score is still low after connecting to Website Speedy, you likely tested a page before your site can load the new optimized content

Try running the test again after a short time, and this time the score for the optimized page should be higher.

Attempting the Test Again and Still Not Getting Results. Now what?

If you obtained the second test results within 1 second, then PageSpeed has provided you with cached results. It is important to wait for at least 1 minute before attempting the second test.

“After waiting over 5 minutes before repeating the test, I still have ‘poor’ results according to PageSpeed Insights.”

Below are some measures that can be checked to make sure that Website Speedy is functioning properly and the pages are being optimized as they should:

1. Determine if the page you are testing has been optimized.

2. Check if there are any errors. Sometimes optimizations may fail due to a number of factors -

  • Page was tested too soon
  • Cached test results
  • JavaScript or CSS files not minified

3. Look at what optimization mode is currently set for your site.

4. Also, be sure that the monthly pageviews or CDN bandwidth limit has not been reached.
